Description: Victorian taxidermy Red Squirrel amongst a naturalistic setting. All glass case with beading- an unusual style for this firm but all original. Signed on a pebble 'P. Spicer and sons'.

Peter Spicer is regarded by most collectors as the greatest British taxidermist, his work in our opinion has never been bettered. He ran a large taxidermy company in Leamington Spa during the late 19th century and early 20th century before it passed on to his sons.
