John Cook of Derby inherited the natural history business established by his father, and was, according to his taxidermy case label, 'ornithologist to Her Majesty and the Royal Family'. He did some taxidermy work for Sir Vauncey Harper Crewe of Calke Abbey, some of which is still there.
