Description: Enchanting taxidermy Badger cubs case. Specimens posed in naturalistic setting with modelled rockwork, ferns and subtle painted backdrop. Solid oak case with three sided glass held in with gold beading (all original).
The firm Jefferies were initially master carvers and guilders and moved to Wales from London and operated from King Street in Carmarthen. Cases by Thomas Jefferies are distinguishable by the use of Mahogany and English Oak wood frames.
