Taxidermy. The Head of a Wild Boar

SOLD

Latin: Sus scrofa

Size: approx. 84cm x 64cm x 62cm

The wild boar was famously regarded as one of the most formidable targets for hunters right across continental Europe, and even - in times long past - in Britain. The heads of these creatures were often preserved, but comparatively few remain in the excellent condition shown by this example.
