A Taxidermy Ring-necked Pheasant by Jeffries of Carmarthen

A Taxidermy Ring-necked Pheasant by Jeffries of Carmarthen

SOLD

Latin: Phasianus colchicus

Size: Approx. 56cm x 83.5cm x 23cm

Description: Jeffries of Carmarthan was a rival to the other celebrated Welsh taxidermist, Hutchings of Aberystwyth. Both produced good quality work that has survived the test of time, and both produced cases that are instantly recognizable. As might be expected from a man operating from a fairly small provincial Welsh town, Jeffries seems to have specialized in animals and birds that lived around his home area.
