Description: Enchanting taxidermy Fox with chicken dinner. Specimen posed amongst naturalistic setting with modelled rockwork, ferns and subtle painted backdrop. Solid wood case (light oak) with three sided glass held in with gold beading (all original).
The firm Jefferies were initially master carvers and guilders and moved to Wales from London and operated from King Street in Carmarthen. Cases by Thomas Jefferies are distinguishable by the use of Mahogany and English Oak wood frames.
