Description: This conveniently sized example of the strange Indian crocodile known as a gharial or gavial is mounted on a wooden plaque. The species can grow to a massive size (up to 9 metres in length) but despite its truly terrifying appearance it does not normally harm humans and prefers to feed on fish!
