Antique Butterfly case by celebrated Victorian taxidermy outfit W.R. Hine of Southport, England. Probably made around the turn of the century this fantastic display has a bamboo edged case often used in taxidermy fire screens and contains fine modelled groundwork. The delicately placed specimens, although slightly faded, are in otherwise perfect condition. A very unusual piece. Small taxidermy trade label can be seen internally.
